Q is for Queen #A2ZChallenge

I’m The Queen Of My Little World!

Writing a post with Q was not easy. Firstly, I don’t know my alphabets so well and secondly Q is rather tough for a baby. I pondered to write about my yellow quilt but finalised to settle down with Queen. Yes, undoubtedly I am the Queen!

I call myself the Queen, as I am allowed to do many things which Miss A is not allowed to do. Also, I can get away with a lot of things which Miss A cannot 😉

First let me tell you the luxuries I have! I have personal spa sessions (at least 2-3 times a day). Here I get undivided attention from whoever my masseur is. The morning session is usually followed by a warm water bubble bath,  where I am further pampered, till I start feeling drowsy. After my bath, for the day, I am dressed in spotless clean cloths. While I get ready, my bed is dusted and freshly prepared with love and care each day.

You all must have heard of The Princess and the Pea! I heard it one day from Miss A. The reason I asked this is because my bed reminds me of this story. There are at least 5-6 layers of soft – soft mattresses in my bassinet !!! These include from a mattress to a mattress protector, to sheets and bed protectors and finally the top bedsheet. Above all these, comes me, in my yellow quilt, my pink polka-dot pillow and baby Dumbo, the long-eared elephant. Ahh! the feeling of sleeping on so many layers is GREAT… nothing less than that of any Queen. Now you must be realising as to why I like the story of the Princess and the Pea!

I also have a personalised gym and not to forget I have a personal trainer as well(who else but Miss A). Earlier, I was not too fond of my tummy time. But my trainer worked hard with me and now I have starting surviving my tummy time. My best timing so far has been one min. Phew! quite an achievement for my pint-sized body. The credit, however, goes to Miss A for being an excellent trainer. She not only encourages me but gives me apt breaks as well, thus making sure of my comfort levels.

Now here is a list of things which I can get away with. A bed is supposed to be slept on, not even a place for eating. However, for me, the queen of the house a lot of activities take place on the bed. Right from morning till the night like eating, massaging, cleaning, changing nappies, dressing up after a bath, so much so most of the time I throw up while burping. All these things happen on the bed. Sometimes I also dirty the linen by squirting my potty or taking out excess milk while burping. But no one says anything to me and Mommy willingly changes the linen as I am the queen. I often wonder if it had been Miss A …

I am literally treated like a Queen by everyone … I think that is why Nani has got me a pair of shoes with a crown on it … apt for ME – The Queen

Well, about me I can say that I am a certified dentist, healthcare analyst, medical writer and above all a mother of a 6-year-old. Most of my day to day activities revolve around her and she is my inspiration to start this blog. As a mother, I experimented with a lot of new things for my little one in a quest to find the best for her. I just want to share my experiences of being a happy and content mum.
