Adieu to the last sunset of the year

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm but to add colour to my sunset sky.” – Rabindranath Tagore

We planned to spend the last week of the year at Naukuchiatal at my parents’ lovely cottage nestled among the hills. Also known as the lake of nine corners, it is a small village with a picturesque lake and serene hills. The place offers tranquillity and calmness under the wings of nature.

The small hill station is an hour and a half from the bustling Nainital. Naukuchiatal has a lake with nine corners. It is believed that anyone who can see the nine corners of the lake can make the person attain nirvana. The close by temples, panoramic views and the lake do rejuvenate you.

The days at the cottage are calm though the nights are cold. But if you are warm then nothing like it. While ae were there we would go for long walks with the cold winds brushing against our cheeks. Also, the sunsets and moonlit nights are the main take away of the trip. Here are some pictures of the last sunset of the year.

Well, about me I can say that I am a certified dentist, healthcare analyst, medical writer and above all a mother of a 6-year-old. Most of my day to day activities revolve around her and she is my inspiration to start this blog. As a mother, I experimented with a lot of new things for my little one in a quest to find the best for her. I just want to share my experiences of being a happy and content mum.
