Say No To Junk Food #WordlessWednesday

“One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating.”  Luciano Pavarotti

These days Miss A is learning about the classification of food. This also includes the difference between healthy food and junk food. So the day she studied this in school she came home and we had a little conversation.

Miss A: Ma, you know junk food is bad.

Me: Yes I know

She: But I don’t eat much junk food, do I?

Me: No baby, you don’t.

She: But if I eat it sometimes then is that ok? Will I still become unhealthy?

Me: Eating it once in a while is fine. You will not become unhealthy.

She wanted to have this conversation because just a few days back she had a burger and she was worried. She does not enjoy junk food and often addresses herself as a ‘paratha baby’.

Over the weekend she got an assignment to make a poster on saying no to junk food. We browsed certain pictures and put in our thoughts for the same. The result is here:

Well, about me I can say that I am a certified dentist, healthcare analyst, medical writer and above all a mother of a 6-year-old. Most of my day to day activities revolve around her and she is my inspiration to start this blog. As a mother, I experimented with a lot of new things for my little one in a quest to find the best for her. I just want to share my experiences of being a happy and content mum.
