When your baby turns 1, the feeling you get is something out of the world. You feel that you have finally been able to nurture your little one with affection and love. And the greatest of all is the feeling of awe for the fact that something you created has grown.
Wait it’s already a year, is it really? It just feels like yesterday when I created my second baby, nurtured it and was in awe with the fact that I created something. I went over and over to see that the tense and sentences were framed correctly. And though sometimes there are long breaks between the posts, I cannot remember a life without it and it is hard to imagine if there has ever been a time when I have not been thinking about it.
My second baby NatkhatZ is tuning one today. The idea of NatkhatZ came into my mind when my daughter was born, but to start it, it took some time in fact good two and a half years. The concept of NatkhatZ is the brainchild of my husband and me. NatkhatZ has definitely grown big in the past one year and we intend to make it even larger.
When I launched NatkhatZ, I was a little uncertain and not too sure how long it would survive. Both NatkhatZ and I have battled the mistakes made in the initial days, and thus we can tell tales now. I survived the anxiety I faced each time my post was published and the agony for not writing for days together. NatkhatZ surely has followers now and while we are one year older and wiser we want to become stronger in the years to come.
In the journey of being one I have shared numerous experiences which I came across as being a mother to my daughter. Some of my blogs are happy, some full of advice, some advice for my daughter, some experiences out of my life, some sad, some myth breaking but they have been there and I feel proud.
My favourite blogs are Sanskaars, Sorry Papa, Confessions of a Work at Home Mom, God’s Special Friends, Mistakes I Want to Avoid While Raising my Daughter, And I Got Inked and The first time I met my Baby. Of course I like all the blogs and each have been written out of personal experiences but these are very close to my heart.
In a bid to popularise NatkhatZ, I entered some blog competitions and other similar platforms. Some of my posts have won prizes and accolades also. Some posts have been very popular while some have faced a debate, and some have had to just scrap trough teaching me to write well. As a writer, I have also grown in the past year.
A big thanks to my daughter who has been my muse, and not to forget you all … my viewers, followers, encouragers and critics. Hope you all keep loving us in the days to come and help us become stronger, wiser and not to forget bigger.
I am sure as parents you have very similar experiences like mine. Imagine a world where parents, new mums and dad can share their experiences and learn from others. Wouldn’t it be great to be a part of such a world?
So here’s, the old ones, the new ones and to be ParentZ, to share some fun experiences and happy moments in the journey of nurturing their NatkhatZ.
All you have to do is to write a story (350-500 words) on the funny experiences from a diaper diagnosis to playing a watchman (especially at night), to deciphering their alien language and root cause analysis of their cries.
Send out your entries at firstname.lastname@example.org in a word document or in the email, by 31st August 2016. I will read each and every post and few handpicked posts will be published on NathkatZ with due credit to the author.
